Nana grew up in a family of musicians and Samba was in her blood from an early age.
Whether she was enjoying dancing with the family in the backyard or at Carnival Parades and Samba Events in Sao Paulo, Nana has always been passionate about Brazilian dance.
Between 2001 and 2008 Nana started training in various styles of dance including taking Hip Hop workshops with one of the world’s leading dancers ‘Bboy Storm’ as well as workshops and courses in Afro Brazilian and traditional Brazilian music and dance styles including Samba de Roda, Afoxe, Maractu, Coco and Candombe at Tendal da Lapa with Jesum Biasin.
Nana moved to Australia in 2010 to study English and soon joined Rhythm Brazil where she officially began her training and career as a professional Samba dancer and performer.
During that time she has also trained and performed Bollywood dance with Bollywood Downunder and Prana Entertainment.
Nana also runs her own dance project SambaRock Australia with Alexandre Santos and is dedicated to representing the dances of her culture with integrity and passion.
